The Safe Haven project is part of the Endeavour Project run by the well-established and respected local charity Paws for Kids.

Paws for Kids Endeavour Project provides services to women, men, children & their pets escaping or recovering from Domestic Abuse.

We welcome applications from members of all communities who have the skills & experience we are seeking.

We are looking for a Temporary Safe Haven Outreach worker – 37 hours per week. £18,760.00 salary per annum rising to £19,000 from April 2018

This post is temporary to cover Maternity leave until 30 September 2018

    The Endeavour Project run by the well-established and respected local charity Paws for Kids. Paws for Kids Endeavour Project provides services to women, men, children & their pets escaping or recovering from Domestic Abuse.

    We welcome applications from members of all communities who have the skills & experience we are seeking.

    We are seeking three energetic and experienced women to strengthen our Board. As a small charity we are looking for ‘hands on’ Trustees who can actively contribute towards the success and future strategic development of Endeavour and our work  with people and their pets escaping and recovering from Domestic Abuse.

    Time commitment:
    At least a few hours a month , to cover preparation for,  and attendance at an evening monthly Trustee meeting , and occasional other meetings; regular remote involvement via email or telephone; and regular review of reports and documentation.

    • Main responsibilities:
      • With other Trustees, to determine the overall direction and development of Endeavour through good governance and clear strategic planning. The Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, developing the organisations aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.
      • To ensure that Endeavour functions within the legal and financial requirements of a charity, so as to add to public confidence and achieve good practice.

    We need volunteers to help run the pet fostering service, volunteering for at least one 4 hour session per week to:

    • Transport pets
    • Visits to vets
    • Deliver food to volunteer pet foster carers
    • Monitoring pet foster placements
